The start of my intuitive journey….
by DCostello on Nov.20, 2011, under All New Posts
Hi Everyone! I’ve decided to try something new in my life and have also decided to let the world follow my progress. Part of this stems from my lack of true understanding of just how the sensitives we rely on in our group do the ‘thing’ they do. Oh, I understand the theories out there and I fully understand and know that they’re truly experiencing something. I’m jealous and I want to experience it too. Plain and simple, that was my initial drive.
So I go out and get a book to help me ‘tune in and discover the power of my intuition’. I’m not being cavalier about this or trying to be funny but the first thing suggested is to start a ‘Paranormal/Psychic Journal’. Well that’s not really the first thing the authors speak of but it was one of the top four first steps suggested to take on my journey. So here we are now, you the reader and me the guinea pig. Spidey Sense
by DCostello on Oct.26, 2011, under All New Posts
Before I got into paranormal research and investigations I was a law enforcement professional at a Federal level. We always used to joke and laugh about how our “gut feeling” was guiding us in certain life and death situations and shaping how we made decisions in the field.
When I was young, brand new in the force I didn’t know what the old-timers were talking about. As time progressed and my skills grew stronger I began to understand what they were talking about and thankfully that “gut feeling” saved me from a few terrible situations that could have taken my life or caused me great physical harm. UFO or Natural Phenomena?
by DCostello on Aug.29, 2011, under All New Posts
Keeping in line with our website here and the exploration of the unknown our group promotes, I’d like to share an experience I had when I had just turned 16 (waaaay back in 1980). There are very few people I’ve told this story to; my parents and a couple of close friends at the most. What happened is still VERY clear in my mind as if it happened yesterday and to be quite frank still freaks me out. Even up to this very day I can’t discount what occurred. Enjoy!

My Take on Animal Spirits
by DCostello on Aug.23, 2011, under All New Posts
It seems that at some point, every paranormal investigator encounters an animal spirit. For me it’s usually cats. I don’t know why but it just seems to work out that way. The first time I encountered this phenomena was when I was a teenage boy, I believe I was 14.
At that time in my life, I had three babysitter jobs; taking care of neighborhood kids at various times during the week. This one night I had just put the family’s two sons to bed and plopped myself down on the couch to watch some TV. (continue reading…)
Demonic Haunting

A demon is considered to be a powerful, supernatural being that is generally malevolent (wishing or appearing to wish evil to others) in character. The word demon comes from the Greek word daimon, which means a divine or semi-divine power that determined a person’s fate. Some believe demons are angels who have fallen from grace or have chosen to take the cross over to the dark side, so to speak. (continue reading…)
Attachments: Spirit, Entity, Possession
by DCostello on Apr.23, 2010, under Information
Sometimes when we go on site to an investigation it is revealed that the client has an attachment. More often than not it is the Medium or Sensitive that makes us aware of this situation but sometimes it can be discovered through the interview process.
So, what is an attachment? Attachments are better known as ‘Spirit Attachment’, ‘Entity Attachment’ or ‘Possession’ and can be determined to be at various levels or degrees of attachment. Primarily an attachment is defined as a conscious negative energy, discarnate being or entity that spiritually or physically attaches to the host affecting his or her mental, physical and/or spiritual state of well-being. It is a parasite. (continue reading…)

Children and Past Life Memories – Part I
by DCostello on Jan.30, 2010, under Information
The following was generated by a request for help from a friend who truely believes that her four year old son has and is experiencing past life memories. She is trying to understand what is going on and has requested help. I’m not sure how long this blog will go but I do know that I’m far from the expert she needs.
What follows is some information I have found that I’ll establish to get the ball rolling. If there is anyone that has dealt with this before jump in with your documentation and advise. (continue reading…)
EVP/EAP, knowing when you’ve got something.
by DCostello on Dec.14, 2009, under Information
During the course of my time spent doing paranormal research and investigations I’ve gathered a lot of recordings of EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) and EAP (Electronic Audio Phenomena). There’s also been more than one time where, during reviewing the recordings, I wasn’t too sure if I actually was hearing something or if I was listening too hard and hearing something that wasn’t there. Don’t laugh, it happens, it’s called pareidolia.
Until this past year I had never heard of this. Wikipedia has the only definition I could find online: (continue reading…)
Cameras: 35mm vs. digital
by DCostello on Nov.27, 2009, under Information
Okay. Here I go stepping into a mine field. Please remember that this is my own opinion based on my personal experiences. I’m very much open to your opinions and experiences. So here we go.
Many folks ask me why I show up to investigations with digital and 35mm cameras. The answer really isn’t easy or short. However, in a nut shell, they’re two different types of recording media; each with their own advantages and disadvantages. What one may lack the other makes up for; at least that’s how I see it. Let me give you some examples. (continue reading…)
